Data Center Humidity
Data center design can have a huge impact on data center humidity and energy use. Data centers can use 200 times more power than conventional offices. With such considerable power usage comes higher temperatures and data center humidity levels than would be found in other spaces. High data center humidity levels can threaten the performance of critical systems and lead to the inefficient use of energy.

Energy Efficiency in HVAC
The most energy efficient buildings are the ones that operate green air conditioning systems and have energy efficient air conditioners installed. Having an efficient HVAC system has a huge impact on the energy costs of a building. If you are operating a school, hospital or building that houses critical business systems you can’t afford to rely on an outdated inefficient HVAC. Fortunately there are new green technologies and strategies that can help you to update your system and save money. Hill York features an entire Hygreen line of energy saving products and services that use the most advanced green air conditioning technologies.
Air Conditioning Technology
We’re all familiar with the traditional through-the-wall AC units that you probably grew up with in your home. Well, things have come a long way. Today’s energy efficient buildings employ state-of-the-art air conditioning technology and green air conditioning systems to maximize efficiency and reduce energy costs. If you own or operate a commercial building where air conditioning efficiency is essential than you should consider retro fitting an advanced air conditioning technology system.
Air Conditioning Installation
Air Conditioning Installation in Commercial Buildings
An experienced air conditioning company will advise you on the HVAC air conditioning system to retrofit in your building as well as perform the air conditioner installation. A qualified air conditioning company will be able to accurately determine the air conditioner installation and design considerations specific to your space. [...]

Air Conditioning in Broward
There are very few places in the U.S. where having a green air conditioning system can have more of an impact on the operational costs of a building than in Broward County. But green air conditioning means more than just having the right system. It also means proper maintenance, emergency preparedness and good air filtration. When it’s the heat of the summer having a reliable Fort Lauderdale HVAC company that can handle an emergency air conditioning situation can be the difference between staying in business and shutting down. This becomes crucial in laboratories, hospitals or buildings that host computer systems critical to businesses.
Air Flow Systems
HVAC Air Flow System Design
Having a properly designed and installed HVAC air flow system is essential to keeping you building’s energy costs down. If you own or operate a commercial building that has an old inefficient air handler or HVAC air flow system you should consider retrofitting a new more energy efficient system. A qualified HVAC company can do an analysis of your space and help determine the most efficient system to install. Retrofitting a new HVAC air flow system can often pay for itself in energy savings over a short period of time.
Server Room Cooling
For many datacenter managers when it comes to server room cooling the attitude has been the cooler the better. High server room temperatures and humidity levels can have an adverse effect on the operational efficiency and life expectancy of your equipment. Having a server room that runs too hot can also lead to costly downtime. But there is some debate on what the optimum server room temperature should be. Despite the necessity of keeping your datacenter cool and dry, a number of leading manufacturers and datacenter efficiency experts now believe that datacenters can operate at higher server room temperatures than previously thought.
Chilled Water Cooling
Many commercial buildings use chilled water cooling systems because of their energy efficiency. In most chilled water cooling systems, the air conditioner unit resides either on the roof or behind the building. Chilled water cooling systems will often incorporate cooling towers, which improve their effectiveness. Water cooled chillers are generally designed for indoor operation, and are connected to outdoor cooling towers to release heat into the air. By using chilled water coils a chilled water cooling system cools water to between 40c and 45c. The chilled water then travels through insulated pipes to air handlers throughout the building. Chilled water cooling systems differ from air cooled chillers, which are also designed for outdoor installation. Air cooled chillers work by circulating air through a coil to force out heat. Cooling towers aren’t usually needed with air cooled chillers.
Precision Air Conditioning
Experienced air conditioner companies can substantially reduce the energy costs of your building by installing a precision air conditioning system. In the average commercial building energy bills account for half of all operational expenses. Qualified air conditioner companies know how to change that equation using a number of innovative techniques including software based control systems, variable air volume ventilation and programmable thermostats. High tech green air conditioning is a concept whose time has arrived.
