Executive Vice President of Service and Controls
Rob leads our service and controls group in delivering innovative HVAC solutions to our clients. As a degreed mechanical engineer, he has designed and implemented a wide variety of energy efficient HVAC and building control systems. From an ongoing service perspective, he is passionate about keeping systems operating efficiently throughout their life cycle and has worked with clients to get their properties ENERGY STAR Certified. He works directly with Hill York’s account executives on capital planning for clients so system replacements can be planned proactively.
Rob has focused on building solutions and energy efficiency his entire career. He began working in the industry in 1999 and has designed, built, sold, and implemented facility solution programs around the world—including Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Mexico City, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, and more than 20 U.S. states.
He joined Hill York Service Company (Hill York) in 2010 as Director of Energy Solutions and is now Executive Vice President of Service and Controls. Prior to Hill York, Rob worked in a sales and engineering capacity for Honeywell, as a Project Manager for Noresco, and as a Senior Energy Engineer for Aramark Facility Services.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University. He is also a Certified Energy Manager, a LEED® Accredited Professional, a Certified Efficiency Sales Professional, and a Certified Demand Side Management Professional.
In his free time, Rob runs…a lot. In an attempt to qualify for the 2020 US Olympic Marathon trials, Rob ran nearly 16,000 miles in 5 years. He went from a 4 hour, 5 minute marathon to 2 hours, 50 minutes. He never got close to a qualifying standard (which is 2 hours, 19 minutes) but says the experience was one of the best teachers in his life.
