(Fort Lauderdale, FL) Hill York, Florida’s leading commercial air conditioning services and energy solutions company, has pledged to channel its passion as comfort providers to charitable causes in 2014. Its outreach campaign, “Hill York Helps: Comforting Those In Need,” engages employees in four offices throughout Florida in a companywide effort to volunteer a combined total of 500 hours in their communities.
While Hill York and its employees have a long history of participating in community service activities, the pledge represents a significant commitment to making life more comfortable for a wide range of people in meaningful ways.
“I’m proud to say Hill Yorkers have always been generous with volunteering their time, talents and financial resources to support those who need a helping hand,” noted CEO Robert “Chip” Lafferty. “It’s what drives us and we want our customers to know we don’t just mean making your environment more comfortable, we are committed to making your LIFE more comfortable.”
With a pledged goal of 500 volunteer hours logged by the end of 2014, Hill York hopes to involve as many of its 200-plus employees in community service activities as possible. Additionally, Hill Yorkers who make financial donations to charities will be credited with one volunteer hour for every $20 contribution. Participating employees will also earn incentives for their various volunteer activities.
From joining charity walks and food drives to scheduling play dates with hospitalized children, Hill York’s employees have been part of numerous impactful community service efforts through the years. In 2013, Hill Yorkers volunteered time with a diverse group of charitable organizations, including Convoy of Hope, the Children’s Miracle Network, Sheridan House, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
A full-service commercial air conditioning company, Hill York provides system maintenance, service, repairs, energy solutions and installation for a wide range of heating, cooling and ventilation systems. Founded in 1936, the company serves the state of Florida.
