February 9, 2013 a group of Hill Yorkers including Rob Pulsifer, Director of Energy Services, Robert Holub, Account Executive, and Seth Sturgill, Project Manager for Energy Services will attend Hearts for Our Hospital, the seventh annual Signature Gala to benefit The Villages Regional Hospital, part of Central Florida Health Alliance. Hill York has been a long time supporter of Central Florida Health Alliance. Just recently, through a strategic partnership with Hill York’s Energy Solutions Group, Central Florida Health Alliance publically announced reducing its utility costs, improving its overall indoor comfort and environment, and reducing its overall environmental impact.
Participation in the Hearts for Our Hospital gala will generously secure funds needed to purchase cutting edge equipment used to fight Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs). Specifically the hospital is dedicated to raising $200,000 in a commitment to installing the Pulsed Xenex UVLamp Disinfection System.
The system uses pulsed Xenex UV lamps to disinfect rooms with minimum human intervention. It is 20-times more effective than manual cleaning, resulting in significant decreases (by up to 82%) of all major “super-bug” germs such as MRSA, C-diff, and VRE. Typical room disinfection takes 10 to 15 minutes at about 60 uses per day in isolation rooms, ICU, ER and other areas. The cost savings using Xenex equipment is substantial, but the prevention of patient suffering and life-saving is priceless.
Opportunities for sponsorship are possible at many levels and may be monetary or donations of services-in-kind. Hill York is trusted air conditioning services and energy solutions partner of Florida’s healthcare community.
